Overview and Functional Description of the SMT Website System:
The SMT is a robust, flexible website content management tool designed for both the novice user desiring an easy tool to manage website content and the experienced professional looking for a tool that that will provide depth of features and quick deployment. The features listed below will provide an overview of select SMT features.
Online User Manual Documentation - Online User Manual Documentation with search and indexed capabilities included with each install.
Cross-Browser Access - Ability to update your website from any Internet connection across multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Mozilla, etc.).
Photo Album - Each installation comes with a free Photo Album viewer allowing unlimited Album creation with up to 25 images per album. Images may be hyperlinked.
Form Builder/Auto-Responder - Build and edit your own web forms including auto-responders. With the addition of the Database Table Manager you have the ability to store form data.
Import/Export Site Data Tables - Export site data tables as .CSV file for import into other applications such as Excel, Access, Word, etc. Also, allows for the import of .CSV files from other applications into site data tables.
Webmaster Options w/ Multi-Admin User Control - Allows the setting of global meta tags and updates of the password for access to the website control panel. Also, provides the ability to create a number of Admin Users with access restricted to certain pages, modules, data tables, etc. This is a great tool to de-centralize content management without compromising the security of the website.
Create Pages - Create and name new pages and assign them as Menu pages, Newsletter pages or Attachment pages for calendar, database and shopping cart applications.
Page Editor/Content Management - Easily layout page content including images, text, hyperlinks and more!
W3C Compliant Text Editor – Add and create text that meets W3C accepted standards for handicap accessibility.
File Upload & Management - Upload images and files without logging into an FTP client. Easy to use. Upload up to 10 items at a time.
Auto-Menu Navigation Management - Select which site pages to include in the site menu or sub menu navigation.
Analytics – Easily integrate Analytics reporting to tracking visitor activity and website performance.
Global/Individual Meta Tag Settings - Set Meta Tags Globally (same for each page) if you want or really impress the search engines with Individual Page Tags; incorporate individual page, title, description and keyword tags.
Simplified URL Addressing - Static Page Addressing, which removes the “&” and “=” signs and other special characters from the browser address line that is normally associated with dynamically generated pages.
Affiliate Management Module (AMM - Optional) - Affiliate programs are a popular way for clients add value to their website by building distribution and expanding their market and revenue potential. The Affiliate Management Module is integrated into the core structure of SMT OASIS and allows site Administrators to quickly and easily manage online affiliate programs. AMM includes an Affiliate Sign-Up from allowing affiliates to apply. Once approved, the Affiliate can login with their unique profile to access the Affiliate Control Panel where they can download banner ads and review reports of activity generated from their website. Each banner ad the Affiliate downloads to place on their site is coded with the unique Affiliate ID. When an end user clicks on the banner ad from the Affiliate’s site and is linked to the client’s site, the end-user visitor activity is tracked all the way through the shopping cart process.
The AMM provides activity and commission reports for both affiliates and client Site Administrators. When logged into the Affiliate Control Panel, the Affiliate can review activity and revenue generated from their Affiliate ID. Plus, the Site Administrator can periodically (e.g. end of the month), generate Affiliate activity reports for a specified time frame or for an individual Affiliate or all Affiliates to determine Affiliate commissions.
Banner Ad System - The Banner Ad System can provide clients with the flexibility to dynamically add banner ads, messages or other elements to any SMT page. This can include supplier banner ads, notices to site visitors, important messages or other important information. It will support multiple campaigns, which can easily be created and edited. Limits can be set for each ad based on impressions, click-thrus or expiration date. Plus, a weighting factor can be included for each ad to manage the frequency of impressions for selected ads within the overall campaign.
Once a campaign is created, it can easily be added to any page through the SMT Page Editor by simply dragging and dropping it onto the page. Once a campaign is active, Administrators can view, edit or add to the campaign as necessary. Plus, the Campaign Control Panel provides an overview of each campaign and activity such as impressions, click-thrus and click-thru ratios.
Document Management System (DMS) - DMS provides clients with an extremely cost-effective solution to managing documents online and is fully integrated with SMT. It can provide the client with significant cost savings both in terms of labor cost and in copying fees. Plus, it can provide the benefit of time-savings and convenience to both site visitors and Site Administrators.
DMS support various document types and allows the Site Administrator to upload and categorize documents quickly and easily. The SMT Secure User Module can be used to manage document security down to the individual document level, allowing the display of critical documents only to those within a specified security group. The site visitor can easily locate document by browsing the folder structure or by entering keywords in the search box to locate documents with specific keywords. Search results are displayed with highlighted keywords providing an easy visual presentation for site visitors to easily manage. Once a document is located and selected, a document profile window provides specifications of the document and allows visitors to easily download copies of the document.
The DMS Control Panel is integrated with SMT OASIS Control Panel, which allows Site Administrators to easily manage documents.

Dynamic Image Manager - The Dynamic Image Manager is a great enhancement to add a dynamic element to a website that can easily be managed by the Site Administrator. The DIM can cycle based on a timed cycle or on page reload will display each image within the pre-loaded table (easily managed by the Site Administrator) and displays like a slide show.
Once installed, DIM can be easily added to an SMT page through the Page Editor.
eMarketer w/Campaign Management - The SMT e-Marketer is an enterprise level e-newsletter tool that’s right for any large scale or demanding e-marketing campaign. Simple to use, yet powerful and flexible, the SMT e-Marketer can streamline customer and prospect communications. Plus, it can enhance customer service through features that allow for scheduling of future and/or drip-marketing campaigns.
Features include:
• Custom Personalization – Newsletters can be set to pull data from specific fields within an SMT data table to personalize the message to each recipient (e.g. company name, their name, address, etc.)
• Shopping Cart Integration – Create campaigns that target customers who have make purchases by pulling names for the SMT Shopping Cart Customer data table. Plus, integration with the Cart Invoice Table provides the ability to incorporate customer data into email campaigns. (access to other system tables is not included.)
• Import External Data – Import data from other external applications into an SMT data table you have created for use in various email campaigns.
• Data Table Variable Filtering – Provide for flexibility in creating campaigns by allowing the selection of any field or multiple fields to filter records to be included in the campaign.
• Select Any SMT Source Table – Allows the selection of any UDT (User Defined Table that has been created by the site administrator) as the source for names and other data to be included in an email campaign.
• Set-It/Forget-It Scheduler – Schedule campaigns for today or any other date in the future to create ongoing and drip-marketing campaigns. (Campaigns are sent each night at midnight EST.)
• Dynamic Send/Filtering – For use in scheduling future or drip marketing campaigns, this feature will automatically update records from the selected data table to pull the most current records prior to the campaign being sent. This assures that campaigns are always targeting the most current list of users even after the campaign is created.
• Save-As-You-Go – Save campaigns at any point in the wizard process for later editing and completion.
• Campaign Editor – Provides for flexibility to edit, copy, delete and archive existing campaigns.
• Unsubscribe Filtering – Integrates with the exiting SMT unsubscribe table to compare emails and remove those who have requested to unsubscribe from email campaigns.
• MIME Encoding – Allows the inclusion of html, images and other graphics in newsletters.
NOTE: The e-marketer is a powerful email communication tool the use of which is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) which strictly prohibits the sending of unsolicited SPAM email. Any abuse of this policy will result in termination of services.
FAQ Manager - The FAQ (frequently asked questions) Manager with easy access for answers to repetitive questions. The Webmaster can create and categorize questions including answers to each question. This is a great tool to improve productivity for clients who frequently deal with the same questions.
Headline News Manager - The Headline News Manager provides allows the Webmaster to post current news topics for display on an SMT website. The Webmaster can easily add/delete/edit news headings, summary descriptions and detailed text. The module can be placed within the page content area or embedded within the site template.
Membership Manager (Optional) - This module is fully integrated with SMT and provides for the quick deployment and easy management of various tasks associated with managing membership organizations. It allows for online membership purchases and renewals, member profile management, email communications to various member segments, and more.

• Members can update their profiles online.
• Membership directory searches by various criteria.
• Administrator can create and send bulletins by membership categories.
• Member Mail - an internal membership e-mail communication system.
• Automatic membership tracking and renewal billing notification.
• Administrator can set reminder notifications to members as they login.
• Event Calendar system with security by membership category.
• Online committee information & volunteer mechanism.
• Customize profile and database search display.
• Add/edit membership rates/categories.
Moderated Guestbook - The Moderated Guestbook captures the names, contact info and comments of those who visit your site via a form submission. After the guest book has been signed, the information populates a database and sends a notification to the webmaster who can review and approve (or reject) the comments to be posted to the testimonial page.
Online Employment System (OES) - Managing recruiting and job placement efforts can be a critical task for many companies. With the SMT Online Employment System (OES) organizations can now easily and dynamically streamline the posting of job openings and the screening of applicants.
Administrators can easily add/edit new job categories and job openings. Job descriptions can provide as much detail as desired (e.g. Title, Description, Salary Range, Qualifications, Start Date, etc.). Administrators can also search the Applicant database by key word and view Applicant Activity Reports. Site visitors can search openings by key word or job category and review the position description and requirements in detail. They can then complete an online application with the option to attach a resume for review.
Quick Links Manager - Allows site visitors to select from a drop down list of search terms to jump directly to specific internal pages or external links. Webmaster can easily update the list of names and links to better manage the user searching experience. As an example visitors could select the word "Employment" to be directed to the Human Resources page. This is extremely effective for sites with larger content and pages.
Scrolling Marquee - Great for presenting text information in an innovative format for visitors to view. Text can be easily updated through the admin control panel.
Site Search - For sites with larger content and many pages, the ability for visitor to search the entire site can significantly enhance the user experience. The Site Search will search all "Public" pages and will exclude those pages assigned to a security group, which you wish to remain hidden.
Searches will; 1) search for a page name that matches this entire phrase; 2) search the page content on the full phrase in the content of the pages; and 3) search page content on the individual words. The Site Search can be placed within the page content area or embedded into the site template.
Survey System - The Survey/Polling System allows you to create and manage as many or as few surveys as you need with ease. Each survey has the option to be active or inactive. As inactive surveys are not displayed, you can prepare surveys in advance and mark them as active once they are ready to be added to the front end, or mark active surveys as inactive to stop new results from coming in while keeping a record of the completed surveys for reporting. You may 'expire' surveys on a certain date if you are requesting time sensitive feedback. As a protective measure, you may hide the results from the public view.
